Rubery is the B45 suburb that grew along the old Bromsgrove road from a smaller settlement into a substantial boundary place between South Birmingham and north Worcestershire. The stock shows that growth: interwar semis around the older streets, post-war and later estate housing, 60s–70s family homes, and modern infill. It sits close to Northfield on the day-to-day corridor, without being the same place as Rednal next along the hills fringe.
