When full installation makes sense
- There is no working wet central heating system

Technical / good practice
Uneven heat is not always a dead boiler. Balancing, sludge, stuck valves, undersized radiators or missing controls can leave one floor cold while another overheats. A full installation is the chance to size radiators for the rooms as used today, add TRVs where appropriate, and plan zoning so living areas and sleeping areas are not forced onto one crude setting.

Hot water and larger properties
The boiler type — combi, system or regular — has to match hot-water demand, bathrooms and incoming flow/pressure. Many homes have heating that has grown in stages: an old boiler, later radiators, and an extension that never quite got enough heat. Period houses rarely have a clean new-build layout — routes through solid walls, later extensions and mixed pipe sizes are normal. The installation has to respect the building as it stands.

Common questions
Some rooms are always cold while others overheat — do I need a full new system?
Not always. Balancing, controls, a failed zone valve or a single undersized radiator can fix uneven heat. Full installation comes into play when the pipework layout is wrong for how the house is used now, radiators are beyond saving, or an extension has left the original circuit permanently undersized.
We have extended the house — can the existing heating keep up?
Often the original boiler and radiators were sized for the old footprint. An extension can leave new rooms cold or force the boiler to run harder than it should. We look at the rooms that need heat, the boiler capacity and whether pipework and radiators need renewing — sometimes a boiler upgrade is enough; sometimes the circuit needs redesigning.
